Not only are these compostable cleaning cloths a great choice for an entirely plastic free cleaning routine, but they’re actually more absorbent than the more conventional plastic cloths found in supermarkets. They absorb liquid quickly and will hold up to 10 times their dry weight.
They come in a set of 2, and being made from 70% cellulose and 30% cotton makes these compostable cleaning cloths extremely durable and unlike alternative cleaning cloths, they emit no microplastics as you use them. Rather than throwing them away once you’ve used them like you do with cleaning wipes, simply pop them into your washing machine and reuse time and time again. The cute Koala and Kangaroo design is printed on using water based ink and as they are made of natural renewable resources makes them fully biodegradable and compostable once the time comes to replace them.

The compostable cleaning cloths are both dishwasher and washing machine safe. The cloths can be washed at 30-60°c and then line dried ready to be used again.

Conventional sponge cloths are often made from plastic, meaning that as they are used they release microplastics which get washed down the drain, where they eventually make their way into our oceans. Unlike these compostable cleaning cloths, more conventional cloths cannot be recycled and end up in landfill where they remain for a very long time.
Being made from plant-based materials, these cleaning cloths won’t harm the environment when used and are compostable when the time comes to replace it, meaning they are a zero-waste product.
