  • Go plastic-free with this wooden pot brush with plant-based bristles which won’t shed micro-plastics whilst you wash-up. The handle is made from FSC® certified beech wood and the brush from Union Fibre- a mixture of Tampico which comes from the agave cactus and Palmyra which comes from the base of the leaf stalks of the India palm tree.

Not only is the wooden pot brush vegan friendly, but thanks to it being made purely from sustainable materials it means it is compostable when the time comes to replace it.

    Dimensions: 8 x 6 x 6 cm

  • After you have used it, rinse it thoroughly with soapy water and allow it to dry in between uses.

  • FSC® certified beech wood with stiff Union Fibre bristles. Union Fibre is a mixture of Tampico (from the agave cactus) and Palmyra (from the base of the leaf stalks of the India palm tree).

  • Most conventional scrubbing brushes and scourers contain or are made of plastic, so as you scrub your dishes plastic fibres break off, get washed down the drain and eventually make their way to the ocean. As well as this, plastic brushes and scourers can’t be recycled so they end up in landfill.

By switching to washing up utensils which are made from natural materials, such as this wooden pot brush, you are avoiding the release of microplastics into our oceans and using a product which won’t end up in landfill.

The brush handle is made from FSC certified wood which means that it comes from a forest which is managed in a responsible and sustainable way. It also means that both the wood and manufacturer have met the requirements of the Forest Stewardship Council. FSC use their expertise to promote the responsible management of the world’s forests and prohibit deforestation, forest degradation and illegal logging in certified areas.

The brush bristles are made from Union Fibre which is a mixture of Tampico which comes from the agave cactus and Palmyra which comes from the base of the leaf stalks of the India palm tree. Thanks to the bristles being plant-based, it means no harm will be done if any do break off and get washed down the drain. The wooden pot brush is hand made in Germany and ecoLiving work closely with the supplier to manufacture responsibly. They are committed to doing the least amount of harm to the environment when producing their products and are not only carbon neutral but they also plant trees through the Eden Reforestation Projects in countries such as Nepal, Madagascar, Haiti, Indonesia, and Mozambique. This goes some way to help the fight against deforestation, to help encourage agroforestry and helping to reduce extreme poverty through the employment of local villagers.

ecoLiving is a member of 1% for the Planet, a global network of businesses, nonprofits and individuals who work together to accomplish a healthy planet. The idea is that companies donate 1% of their annual sales through a membership scheme, the money is then distributed to approved environmentally focused non-profit organisations. More than $175 Million dollars have been given back to the environment so far.
